Commercial is a style of dance that cannot be explained or contained. Commercial dance is not a technique but is more of a term we use to discribe any dance which is used to make money or advertise something. It is also discribed as a melting pot of dance styles
This means that although many people see commercial dance as a style of jazz, the royal ballet can also fall under this umbrella as it is a cooperation that generates a lot of money.

Jazz Pioneers
Dance, like anything else, has its creators. Its pioneers. I believe that the jazz style has had a massive influence on all dance styles, in particular Commercial Dance. Jazz has been around for many years and is forever evolving, challenging itself to keep up with the culture it is residing in. On this page are the people I believe to be most influential in the Jazz world. I think that these people are responsible for the shift in the styles of dance we see most in todays’ society.
